Copyright and Confidentiality
All information on this website (text, documents, images) are copyright to Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Trust. Materials from other sources are referenced accordingly. Users can download or print any information for personal use only and may not publish the material in any format without prior consent from the Trust.
The issue of staff and public confidentiality is of utmost concern to the Trust. Any information that identifies any person or persons can only be published with their full knowledge of its use on the website and their consent for this. Photographs are amended to hide identifiable information where consent has not been able to be obtained (for example, car registration numbers on site). We shall remove any image or text where the subject feels their privacy has been breached.
With regard to staff confidentiality, you should not use names and contact details on this website for direct marketing purposes and we expect all suppliers to respect the Data Protection Act legislation. The Trust follows standard NHS guidelines with regard to tenders and purchasing.
Photography on Hospital Property
Photography, filming or other recording on Trust property is expressly prohibited without the permission of the Communications Team and the consent of the subject. The safety and confidentiality of our patients, visitors and staff is paramount. Anyone taking unauthorised photos will be challenged and asked to leave the premises. Legal action may be taken due to trespass, harassment or damage caused by an individual's actions.
The Trust has strict rules on Child Protection and the photography of children will be referred to the appropriate authorities.
We would advise all service users to notify a member of staff if they have any concerns in this matter.
Accuracy, Availability and Accessibility
Each department is responsible for the accuracy of information they supply to the site and this includes regular reviews to keep content up to date. Materials do not represent business, professional or medical advice and users are advised to seek appropriate assistance from Trust staff in these matters. Details are subject to change and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The availability of the site is subject to technological support that may in rare cases create a disruption in service. The Trust is not responsible for any damages incurred to the user as a result of the loss of availability.
In creating the site, we made sure that we support the accessibility guidelines for users with disabilities. Every effort is made to follow the NHS guidelines to website design along with the W3C / WAI standards (http://www.w3.org/).
Our Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS) on both hospital sites will be able to assist any queries you may have with regard to accessibility and translation of information resources.
