The issue of staff and public confidentiality is of utmost concern to the Trust. Any information that identifies any person or persons can only be published with their full knowledge of its use on the website and their consent for this. Photographs are amended to hide identifiable information where consent has not been able to be obtained (for example, car registration numbers on site). We shall remove any image or text where the subject feels their privacy has been breached.
 
With regard to staff confidentiality, you should not use names and contact details on this website for direct marketing purposes and we expect all suppliers to respect the Data Protection Act legislation. The Trust follows standard NHS guidelines with regard to tenders and purchasing.
 
 
Accuracy, Availability and Accessibility
 
Each department is responsible for the accuracy of information they supply to the site and this includes regular reviews to keep content up to date. Materials do not represent business, professional or medical advice and users are advised to seek appropriate assistance from Trust staff in these matters. Details are subject to change and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
 
The availability of the site is subject to technological support that may in rare cases create a disruption in service. The Trust is not responsible for any damages incurred to the user as a result of the loss of availability.
 
In creating the site, we made sure that we support the accessibility guidelines for users with disabilities. Every effort is made to follow the NHS guidelines to website design along with the W3C / WAI standards (http://www.w3.org/).

Information Collected by the Site
 
The Trust website does not use cookies or require personal information from the user without their permission. However, a record of the pages visited and other search information is stored for the purposes of measuring site traffic. This does not identify the user or their computer details. The information is used to benefit the web design and content through anonymous counts of visitors and areas visited. The Trust uses the NHS Jobs website for its vacancy information, click here for its terms and conditions.
 
We welcome any feedback regarding the site, or the Trust in general. In both cases, the individual does not need to supply any personal details if they do not wish to do so. All feedback is treated in strict confidence. For complaints, the appropriate Trust procedures are enforced.

The Trust does not send out unsolicited emails and users should not open any messages that they are unsure of the contents or the sender. All content is checked for viruses, however this does not stop malicious software from generating hoax messages purporting to be from the Trust. We are not responsible for any damages or loss caused by these emails.

Freedom of Information Act
 
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI), as well as the Information Governance initiative promote the provision and access of information resources to the general public. From October 2003, users are able to request any resource as listed in our publication scheme. From January 2005, this is extended to any material whether detailed in the scheme or not. Materials are only exempted from being provided if they concern security matters, are commercially sensitive or breach confidentiality guidelines. The Trust has decided to use the website to publish this material for users to read and download. Website Management
 
This website is managed and updated by the Information Content Manager on behalf of the Trust. The site was created using the Joomla (http://www.joomla.org/) open-source content management system. The Trust also supports the NHS Choices website. A website strategy group meets each quarter, and they decide the overall strategy of the online services provided by the Trust.
