  • Coronary angioplasty AND Coronary angiography
  • Cardiac rehabilitation service
  • Permanent pacemaker follow-up including bi-ventricular pacing for heart failure
  • Pacemaker clinic; Ambulatory and Event ECG recording
  • Electrophysiological studies and ablation
  • ICD implantation and follow-up
  • Combined ”Funny Turns” clinic with Dr D Barnes, monthly
  • Grown Up Congenital Heart Clinic as required, Wed pm (2-3 clinics a year)
  • Direct Access to Resting ECG
  • Multi-phased cardiac rehabilitation service

St Peter’s leads the way with congenital heart clinic
A special and unusual service for young adults with a congenital heart condition is being offered at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey. Every three months, a group of three consultants run a joint clinic for cardiac patients who are transitioning from adolescence into adulthood.

The team is made up of Consultant Cardiologist, Dr David Fluck, Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Alison Groves and Professor of Adult Congenital Heart Disease at The Royal Brompton Hospital, Professor Gatzoulis. Information regarding Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs) The following leaflets have been created in conjunction with the Surrey Heart and Stroke Network:
Specialist Nurses Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals offer a comprehensive, multi-phased cardiac rehabilitation service.
 
Cardiac patients are seen by our team of nurse specialists, who then follow them through their recovery period.

Patients receive individual advice and are invited to attend our outpatient programme which includes education, risk factor management, clinical assessment, relaxation and a graduated and individual supervised exercise programme.
