· Pelvic floor surgery / anorectal physiology and endoanal ultrasound for prolapse and faecal incontinence
· Inflammatory bowel surgery including ileo-anal pouch
· Laparoscopic and open repairs for abdominal wall hernia
· Colonoscopy
· Pilonoidal sinus surgery
· Surgery of malignant melanoma and sarcoma
· Irritable groin surgery
· Perineal surgery including haemorrhoids, fistulae (simple and complex) and otrher perianalconditions
· On-call surgery including laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Colorectal cancer support:
· Providing information and support for all patients and families diagnosed with colorectal cancer
· Involved from diagnosis, through treatment and providing a nurse-led follow up clinic for patient’s surveillance checks
Colorectal nurse-led clinic:
· Held three times a week
· Flexible sigmoidoscopy lists in Endoscopy Suite at St. Peter’s Hospital
Anorectal Physiology:
· Located at St. Peter’s Hospital and offers investigations and treatment for patients with pelvic floor problems such as faecal incontinence, constipation and IBS etc.
· Investigations include anorectal physiology, 3D Endoanal Ultrasound, Pudendal Nerve Terminal Motor latencies, rectal compliance and 3D Endorectal Ultrasound.
· Following investigations, patients can attend clinics for either Biofeedback or Rectal Irrigation to treat their bowel problems.
· We also offer clinics for patients who have received an obstetric trauma (3rd/4th degree tear) for investigations and treatment.
· Anorectal physiology provides cognitive behavioural treatment with our clinical health psychologist.
