Reimbursement of Removal Costs

All removal expenses need to be discussed and agreed with Medical Staffing prior to submitting a claim.
 
 
 
The Trust will reimburse necessary removal costs incurred as a result of the acceptance of appointment where the individual is required to move in order to fulfil the requirements of the post.
 
The policy applies to all staff except Specialist Registrars who are covered by Deanery provisions and Senior House Officers and House Officers who are covered by a separate Trust Policy.
 
 
 
The aim of these guidelines is to provide assistance to Specialist Registrars who are required to move home in order to take up a post on a training programme and to ensure Specialist Registrars on rotational appointments are not seriously disadvantaged financially. It is not intended to cover fully the costs of moving home to complete a training programme which may consist of a number of different placements across a wide geographical area. Each application will be considered with due regard both for the interests of the individual and the service as a whole.
