Register of Interests Policy

The Trust is committed to ensuring that high standards of public service values are maintained across all its activities. The Trust will ensure that public funds are properly safeguarded and that at all times the Board and its staff will conduct its business as efficiently and effectively as possible. The Trust is committed to ensuring the achievement of value for money from the public funds with which it is entrusted and to demonstrating high ethical standards of personal conduct.

The Trust must comply with the NHS Code of Accountability April 1994 (Appendix 1) which covers the area of Declaration of Interests Rules applicable to NHS Boards. HSG (93) 5 Standards of Business Conduct for NHS Staff contains further guidance. This has been supplemented by the Code of Conduct for Private Practice (Appendix 2) which forms part of the core contract for Consultant staff.
