This agreement forms part of Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust’s commitment to create a positive culture of respect for all individuals including staff, patients, their families and carers as well as community partners. The Trust’s values (the ‘4P’s’) and Staff Pledge are integral to all aspects of day-to-day life in the organisation and underpin the application of all our employment policies and procedures. Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with staff representatives. As part of its approach to improving staff involvement and participation in the workplace, the Trust intends to ensure that trade unions, staff organisations and professional associations representing its employees are given every opportunity to contribute to the successful operation of the Trust. All employees of the trust are encouraged to join a union or staff association where they wish to do so.
