Clinical Biochemistry is the study of the chemical composition of blood and other body fluids. |

| MRSA Screening |
In line with Department of Health guidelines on MRSA screening, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust are compliant with the requirement, which from December 31st 2010 also includes screening all adult patients (other than maternity) admitted to the Trust as an emergency. |
| Infection Control |
The Trust Board is committedd to the Health Social Care Act 2008, Code of Practice for health and adult social care on the prevention and control of infections, and related guidance. This outlines the accountability of the Board in reducing healthcare associated infections and the importance of hospital cleanliness. |
| Anticoagulation Clinic |
An Anticoagulant stops your blood from clotting within the blood vessels. |
