The rain may have fallen but the happy sound of children enjoying themselves outshone any attempts of the weather to put a damper on the annual Twins and Triplets Picnic at St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, at the weekend! (21/07/07). The event is organised by Parent Education Co-ordinators and midwives Naomi Warrington and Rose Cooper.

The picnic is held annually and any twins or triplets born in the past three years are welcome to attend.  It’s a chance for maternity staff to see the “babies” again and it gives parents an opportunity to get to know other families and swap notes on raising twins and triplets.

Said Naomi: “We began the afternoon on the grass outside the Abbey Wing and eventually had to take cover inside - but this didn’t put a damper on the event!  We had about 40 adults and their children, including one set of triplets, at the picnic and it was a very a very happy afternoon.”
