Would you like to see your recipe published? “A few years ago I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome, which made me more at risk of developing type 2 diabetes,” explains Antony Worrall Thompson, who has written the foreword in support of this new recipe book – ‘Delicious Dining’ which will raise money for the Stephanie Marks Diabetes Appeal. Inspired by adults and children with Diabetes, and their friends and families at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust, this long awaited book ‘Delicious Dining’ will bring creative menu planning to your dining table, no matter what the occasion. Packed full of low sugar, low fat, high fibre and low salt ingredients, you can be sure that all the recipes can be enjoyed by the whole family with a clear conscience. Antony explains, “The more I learned about eating for diabetes, I realised that it is just about eating healthily and that you can enjoy all the delicious foods on offer by making simple adjustments. I managed to lose weight and I feel better about myself. I would like you to share in my learning and I am keen to support initiatives that help people with diabetes enjoy life to the full - that’s why I chose to write the foreword for this fabulous new book.” “Eating well for diabetes is for ever, but there are times when people find it tough,” sympathises Antony. “It’s my daughters 6th birthday next week and I haven’t got a recipe for a low sugar chocolate cake”. “I’m having a Dinner Party for my friends and one of them is a diabetic. What on earth am I going to cook?” “I play tennis every Tuesday night and am getting bored of the same snacks; I need some more suitable ideas”. “All reasonable problems and the book will have some scrumptious solutions”, enthuses the leading restaurateur and TV chef. ‘Delicious Dining’ is being compiled by the Dietetics Department and now is your chance to have your family favourite(s) published.
