Youngsters on the children’s ward at St. Peter’s Hospital enjoyed a happy visit from professional footballers who brought a Wii gift which they donated to the teenager’s bay to provide some entertainment in 2009while they are at the hospital for treatment. They brought the team’s mascot K C Kat for good measure!
The money for the game was donated by the players, staff, and directors of Woking FC, together with local churches, and The Chase Hospice for Children, Guildford, and the Royal Surrey County Hospital also received a similar gift on the same day.
Said Matron of the Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospital children’s unit Dagmar Gohil: “We were really pleased to see the Woking footballers – they were a great tonic for the children. We do appreciate their gift of a Wii for our teenage bay – I’m sure the youngsters will have hours of fun with it.”
