Grateful father raises money for St Peter’s Hospital
Written by Communications Team

Tom Ford raised money for the St Peter’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by participating in the Reading Half Marathon.

Ford wanted to raise the money to express his gratitude for the care that his daughter Megan Lucy Joyce Ford received at the NICU. The matron of the NICU, Audrey Elmore, is putting the money raised towards three new incubators for premature babies for the NICU.

Running from GreenPark Business Park, through Whitley Wood, to the Madejski Stadium, he raised a total of £369.48. Of that, £265 came through sponsor forms, and £104.38 came from sponsorship thorough the Justgiving.com sponsor website.

Ford and his family, daughter Megan and wife Emma Jane, live in Clockhouse Lane in Ashford, Middlesex. He works at First Line, an automotive components distribution company, while wife Emma Jane works at VT Land, a company which supplies transport for MOD in Aldershot.

Matron Audrey Elmore said: “It was lovely to hear that Megan is well. It is just amazing for Mr Ford to raise the money for the NICU, and we appreciate his generosity and efforts.”
