Tommy the Cat, a sparkling fairy and the “Lord Mayor of London” all brought a smile to the faces of children and staff when they visited the children’s wards of Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust on Tuesday. (15-12-09) A jolly good time was had by all when Dick Whittington (actor Philip Olivier who plays the character Timothy “Tinhead” O’Leary in Brookside) and Tommy the Cat (actor Terence Donovan) together with Aretha Franklin tribute star Linda John-Pierre aka Fairy Bow Bells took time out from pantomime performances of Dick Whittington at The Camberley Theatre to bring small gifts with them and visit the playroom and Oak and Ash Wards at St. Peter’s Hospital. The Panto is running until Sunday 3 January. Said the Trust’s Play Services Co-ordinator Jenny Kirby: “It was so nice that they found time to come and in their super costumes they literally did brighten up the day! It was a very happy visit for our staff as well as the children - we all love Pantomime!” Pictures from the day Louis Andrew, six, of Sunbury with Dick Whittington, Fairy Bow-Bells and Tommy the Cat at St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. ![]() Group picture of staff with Dick Whittington pantomime stars on the children’s ward at St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. ![]() Charlie Ulvomen,11, of Ashford with Fairy Bow-Bells, Dick Whittington and Tommy the Cat pictured on the children’s ward at St. Peter’s Hospital.
