Last week young patients at St Peter’s Hospital were able to take advantage of a whole series of fun activities as part of ‘Play in Hospital’ week. The aim of the week is to promote the importance of play for children who find themselves in hospital and the benefits it brings them. Some of the activities on offer, organised by hospital Play Specialist Eloise Lawrence, included a visiting magician and balloon making, a visit by Inca the dog (as part of Pets as Therapy), a visit from Katinka the clown and a sing along session with local Hospital Radio Wey presenter Steve Rushton. Said Eloise: “The week was a great success and the children really enjoyed the variety of activities on offer, particularly all the special guests.” |
