My name is Sue Uzzell and I’m the Placement Learning Facilitators (PLF) for Locality 2, which covers Ashford & St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust and the North Surrey locality of Surrey PCT.
Here’s a brief summary of the role of the PLF;
- To build placement capacity
- To facilitate and manage high quality clinical placements
- Support staff in the development of supportive and educational clinical areas for students
- Support mentors
- Update clinical areas on new developments within Nurse Education
The role focuses on supporting the mentors of pre-registration learners (nurses, midwives and ODP) on placement here as part of their programme at the University of Surrey.
