Services Provided

Early pregnancy unit (SPH: Mon to Fri 9am to 1pm)

Prenatal diagnostic service incl. 12 week ultrasound scan withnuchaltranslucency measurement and 21 week scan

Daily consultant antenatal clinic as SPH

Weekly high risk obstetric clinic

Weekly obstetric / endocrine clinic with diabetic consultant

Multiple pregnancy antenatal clinic

Consultant antenatal clinic for previous severeperinealtrauma and combined obstetric pelvic floor clinic (alt weeks)

Midwifery led vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC) clinics (3 per month)

Maternity day assessment unit (SPH: Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm)

24 hour midwifery triage

Delivery suite with high dependency bay and two obstetric theatres

Transitional care ward

Twice weekly breast feeding drop in clinicCommunity based post natal clinics

Direct access to midwifery care

Delivery suite with high dependency bay and two obstetric theatres

Three home-form-home rooms (including one birthing pool)

Elective LSCS lists

Midwifery led pre-assessment LSCS clinics

 

Specialist midwives including:

Diabetes specialist midwife

Antenatal screening co-ordinator

Breast feeding specialist

Parent education co-ordinator

Named midwife for child protection and vulnerable women

“Birth Reflections” service and bereavement services
