The Undergraduate Medicine Office is responsible for providing invaluable service of work experience to college students who are thinking of pursuing a career in healthcare.
Work Experience & Work Shadowing Placements 2014
For the attention of all Applicants (Work Shadowing, Work Experience and Introduction to the NHS 2014)
Due to the high volume of applications already received to date and the limited placement areas available within the Trust, we are having to close for all further applications for 2014 from today.
Please note that all applications received after today, 21st January 2014 will not be acknowledged or processed.

If you have applied or thinking of applying to the University for Radiography & Clinical Neurophysiology and you need some work experience.

How to Apply
All applicants should read the "Placement information" before completing the application form.
For work experience placements in various departments in the Trust; please Download, Complete in full and Return by email the following documents:
- Application form 2014
- Work Experience Health Screening Form
Please note;
- Placements are offered on a first come, first served basis!
- Submitting an application form does not guarantee you a place on our programme.
- Placement offers are based on availability of suitable specialty / clinical area.
- Application form that is not completed in full will not be processed.
The Introduction to the NHS Course 2014
The Introduction to the NHS Course 2014 will take place on the 30th June – 4th July 2014.

Please note;
- The application for this Course will close as soon as sufficient applications are received.
- All applicants for this course are expected to attach 500 words personal statement to support their application.
- The work experience coordinator reserves the right to select/shortlist the most suitable candidates for this course.
- All shortlisted candidates are expected to undertake a 10 minutes telephone interview during the Easter break.
- Offers on this course cannot be confirmed until all the selection processes are completed, not earlier than April 2014.
